Meet the Designers after the Fashion Show
during the OPEN Q&A FORUM/RECEPTION:
Mae Ho of Mae
http://www.maesdressshop.com
Mae Ho combined her two loves, fashion and literature, and created clothes that tell a story. As a child, Mae was fascinated with the beautiful world illustrated in the childhood fairytales. As she grew older, this fascination grew into a love of literature that centered around different eras and worlds, evoking a reality all of its own. Instead of telling a story through words, Mae has created clothes that fit into these stories and are inspired by these imagined characters. The clothes are not merely fashion but a sublime connection to literature of the past and present.
Mae is a music lawyer-turned-fashion designer. A Chinese-American born and raised in Las Vegas, she adopted the Angeleno (LA) lifestyle in August 2000.
Inspired by fashion and literature early on, Mae has been styling and designing for herself and her fashionista friends since she was in grade school. Strangers, friends, and associates began to ask her to design clothing for them after finding out she designed her own clothing. “MAE” the label was born. Soon after, her designs began popping up in boutiques across the nation in major cities like: Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Austin, Dallas, San Francisco and New York.
Mae’s First Collection debuted in Fall 2005. Today Mae showcases her designs at Project Vegas and trunk shows across the country.
Mae’s fashions are an assortment of exquisite silhouettes in lavish fabrics incorporating vintage styling. Mae is an up-and-coming Los Angeles fashion designer who has a remarkable ability to translate vintage aesthetic into modern-day apparel.

Jeanet Lee of Bo J.C.
http://www.bojc.com
It's as if gypsy collided head on with elegance and when the dust cleared, there was a collection of necklaces sparkling with sapphires, earrings dripping with Mexican fire opals and bracelets jingling to the tune of tourmaline. Such charm is the Bo J.C. jewelry line. Created in 1995 by sisters Cathy Charles, the treasure maker who designs each collection, Jeanet Lee, the storyteller at the business end of it all, and their busy bee mother Helen “Bo” Lee, designer of the one-of-a-kind couture collection.
The fabulous trio works with a small troop of artisans who are masters of intricate craftsmanship- hammering, twisting and wire-wrapping. Bo J.C. is ever expanding on what they do best- delicate, feminine pieces full of spirit and made with love. Whether done in fine gold chains or their trademark braiding technique, Bo J.C. necklaces look daring layered or stand divine on their own. Earrings are made with the tiniest and finest points in mind, while bracelets are dainty yet bold in their generous use of gems.
Bo J.C. is a must have accessory for the girl who styles her look down to the last detail. The designs have been adorned on Hollywood’s stylish stars including Reese Witherspoon, Halle Berry, Uma Thurman, Jessica Alba, Amber Valletta, India.Arie, Mena Suvari, Minnie Driver, Susan Sarandon, LeAnn Rimes, Danielle Steele, and Sheryl Crow just to name a few.
We are proud to know that exclusive boutiques & specialty stores, as well as museums & artisan galleries worldwide carry Bo J.C. jewelry and exude the same standards in which we strive to build on. Look for Bo J.C. jewelry at places such as Martha's Vineyard, The Museum of Art & Design in New York, Bloomingdale's, Fred Segal, Ron Herman, and even international stores in Asia, Canada, Europe, Australia, Spain and South America.

April Mun of Stella & jamie
http://www.stellaandjamie.com
Stella & jamie was started by April Mun with the intention of making clothes for the people she loves. With a vision of rich fabrics, colors and attention to fit, Stella & jamie echoes a bygone world of glamour and effortless beauty.
Stella & jamie is a product of April’s fashion industry experience – from her days as an FIT student thriving in Manhattan’s bustling Midtown surrounded by budding designers and artists; to her days of designing for international fashion houses; to the present day, as she begins her journey with her own label.
The Stella & jamie girl is a dynamic vixen. She is confident, with a sexiness uniquely hers, but can pull out her innocence and be coyly demure at the same time. She knows the true value of her life and seeks to shine from her simple, yet very delicate outfits, through their classic and clean lines.
Focusing on the rich and sumptuous fabrics contrasted by careful detailing, Stella & jamie celebrates the simplicity of textured solids, luminous in nature. Lustrous silk blends, cashmeres, and wools are lovingly brought to life for her collections.
